FAQ

When is the best time to supplement with Chaga?

Chaga can be taken throughout the day. It is great in the morning but some people also use it at night in a soothing evening tea.

When can I expect to experience the effects?

The effects of adaptogenic and functional mushrooms are not immediate for the majority of people. Instead, they gradually intensify over time in most cases.

People who are more sensitive may feel the effects within a few days of using it, while typically, the effects become noticeable within a few weeks. In certain situations, it may take up to 1.5 months to experience the complete benefits.

How is our product sourced?

Our extract is made of organic, wild Chaga mushrooms grown on wild birch trees in Siberia.

How long can I supplement with Chaga?

Chaga can be taken throughout the year. Always consult your physician before undertaking any medicinal mushroom protocol.

Is it possible to mix different extracts?

Yes, you can mix and match different functional mushroom extracts as desired.

Many people choose to mix Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps for example because they aim to improve their focus and energy, and these two often go hand in hand.

We also see a lot of people mixing Chaga and Reishi, with the intention to support their immune system and to achieve a calm state of mind.

Of course, you may create your own preferred mix.

Does Chaga get you high?

Chaga has no psychoactive compounds. It does not get you high.

Are you using the mycelium or the fruiting bodies of the Chaga mushroom?

To answer this, we need to do a bit of an explanation of what Chaga is. Chaga is a dark and dense mass that grows on birch trees. Technically, it’s not really a mushroom, but it’s made up of parts of the birch tree and a type of fungus.

There are two parts of Chaga that look different, even though they’re both from the same fungus. One is the outside growth that we can see, which we call a canker. The other part is hidden under the tree bark and looks like a big, flat, grayish mass with little holes that make seeds for the fungus. This is the fruiting body.

Our Chaga extract is made of fruiting bodies. A small amount of mycelium may still be present in the extract, but this is only a result of harvesting the fruiting bodies. Our extracts are not fruiting bodies plus mycelium extracts.

Many brands on the market do contain both fruiting bodies and mycelium, but this is mostly done for economic purposes, as it makes the production of functional mushroom extracts way cheaper. It is often done to save money and results in less potent extracts.
